KGBTexas has been around for 15 years now. Every year, we have grown, either by revenues, employees, knowledge, services or all of the above. And I was thinking about the services that we offer, and their value to our clients.
I realized that one of the most valuable services we bring to the table for our clients isn’t even listed on our Web site, or in our marketing materials. And it’s outside of the traditional marketing box. It’s networking, connecting, establishing and building relationships.
We have helped to foster some amazing relationships and partnerships among our clients. We have also helped to create promotions and programs for clients who would have never had the resources to accomplish this alone. I mention this because it’s what someone should expect from an agency. Every agency can create ads. They can pitch stories to the media. But being able to walk a CEO from one company in to see a CEO from another company has just as much potential impact on the bottom line for our clients: Maybe even more.
To me, it’s about doing whatever is necessary to help a company move the needle. So I feel it’s my job to stay well connected within the industries and communities we serve in order to help clients establish those relationships.
The bottom line is that when finding that perfect fit with an agency, it’s important to look at all of the tools they have in their kit, not just the obvious ones. You never know how valuable that next introduction may be.
