All KGBTexans will be writing blogs now. Understandably some are facing this new development with some trepidation. In fact, seven people have turned in their resignations. Not really.
But there was considerable kvetching and moaning when the blog mandate was handed down from on high. Comments ranged from, “What will I say?” to “What’s a blog and who do I bribe to get me out of this?”
So as one who writes for a way to buy inexpensive wines and pay bills, I’ll share some hints with my fellow co-bloggers who, as they say, are at a loss for words.
First, write about something you know. For example, maybe you are fluent in Esperanto and have long wondered why you don’t see more ads, or blogs, written in Esperanto. Include a link (like this one) to sites that enlighten non-Esperanto speakers to its origins and just what the hell it is.
Or perhaps you saw a compelling website or YouTube video that you think will end hunger and war if we all were to see it. That would be a most worthy blog post. (Sorry, no links for this as of this writing).
OK. In the interest of brevity, I’ll be brief. Don’t just write something, share something. Unlike this post, make it something we can all benefit from. To be grammatically correct, I should say, “something from which we can all benefit.”
