Hello? Blog readers, are you out there? Welcome to my very first blog. I’m glad you made it. I didn’t know who would show up (other than my fellow KGBers, my mom and BFF, of course).
Like many other first-time bloggers I thought to myself, “What could I possibly write about that would interest anybody?” But as an employee of KGBTexas, a leading interactive, digital marketing and communications agency that believes in the power of social media and online dialogue, I guess it’s time for me to, “bite the bullet,” “suck it up,” and “walk the walk.”
I’m taking the advice of my oh-so-wise colleague Stan McElrath. He suggested simply sharing something that would benefit readers. Okay, so here I go, my first dip into the blogosfear.
Some people say I’m a positive person, so for those of you seeking a little positivity on a Monday, here are a few golden rules that when followed can yield pretty good results:
- Treat others like you want to be treated.
- Don’t sweat the small stuff.
- Always listen to your gut.
I know, nothing new, nothing you haven’t heard before, but nonetheless, good rules to think about and even better to practice, at least every now and then. So when the stresses and circumstances of everyday life get the best of you, pause for a second and put one of these into action – I’m positive it’ll be worth it.
So there it is, my first blog. I bit the bullet, sucked it up and walked the walk. It’s done, I’m an official blogger. Whew!
