The social media hype continues. Why? For me as a long-distance grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend, social media has become an integral part of my way of keeping in touch.
With life being so busy these days (where are those lazy days of summer we used to hear about?), this is a great way for family and friends to let me “feel” like I’m there through their highs and lows. I can experience my grandchildren growth stages, peek into my extended family’s lives, and keep tabs on my friends’ adventures. Where would I be without social media? I’d miss all of the important firsts of my grandchildren.
Thanks to KGBTexas, our social media guru Sean Wood, has pulled me into the world of social media even if it’s mostly just for personal use. That’s what is so cool about the flexibility of social media. You can always take it with you wherever you go. All you need is access to the Internet.
